Dr. Christopherson is a graduate of St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of South Dakota, School of Medicine in Vermillion. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Christopherson went on to complete his Cardiology Fellowship at Rush University, Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois and his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship from The Care Group at Indiana Heart Institute in Indianapolis. He has enjoyed being in private practice for over 10 years. Dr. Christopherson is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology.
Dr. Christopherson’s professional interests include the management of atherosclerosis in coronary and peripheral circulation. His outside interests include family life, reading, and golf. He resides in San Antonio with his wife and two children. Dr. Christopherson says, “From prevention to diagnosis and treatment, I love providing total cardiovascular services to my patients.”
