friersonDr. Frierson is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Texas majoring in Biochemistry. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Texas Health Science in San Antonio. Dr. Frierson went on to complete his Cardiology Fellowship at the University of New Mexico, School of Medicine, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Additionally Dr. Frierson completed a Fellowship in Cardiology Research at the University of New Mexico, School of Medicine, in Albuquerque, New Mexico prior to completing his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the Cleveland Foundation, in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr.Frierson is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology.

Dr. Frierson’s professional interests include the efficient management of his patient’s cardiovascular issues and wellness. His outside interests include sailing, reading, and family. He resides in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Frierson says, “My medical philosophy is simple keep my patients well and out of the hospital, however if hospitalization is necessary, we make a plan to foster my patient’s discharge as efficiently as possible”.
